Are you goal-oriented? I’m finding this year that I absolutely am. We are only a couple of months into the year, but I am so proud of myself for sticking with the intentions I set. Usually, by this point, the “New Year” energy starts to fade, but this time? I’m more energized than ever.
The Three Pillars of My Year
I decided to focus on three specific areas, and seeing them come to life has been incredibly rewarding:
- Health & Nutrition: I wanted to get back into a rhythm with exercise and really focus on what I’m putting into my body. Staying committed to this has been a huge win for my daily energy levels.
- The AI Frontier: One of my work initiatives was to delve into Artificial Intelligence. It has been a fascinating journey! I’ve been learning so much and even sharing little inspirational messages on YouTube and Facebook about what I’ve discovered.
- Returning to the Page: A few years ago, I trademarked Peppermint Paper for writing and secured the domain, but I let it sit. This year, I finally told myself, “You know what? I should start doing that.” The Joy of Creating: It has been so much fun to just write whatever enters my mind. Often, I’ll take a blog post and turn it into a video. I’ve noticed that people seem to gravitate toward the Shorts more than the long-form videos, but honestly? That’s okay. I’m still enjoying the process of trying and learning the craft.
Why This Year is Different
I’ve been reflecting on why these goals feel so much better than ones I’ve set in the past. Maybe at 61, the perspective just shifts. It doesn’t feel like a chore; it feels like a spark. Maybe I just had “bad” goals before! These current goals are awesome, and they make me excited to get moving every day.
If you are working on your goals, I hope you’re achieving them and finding as much joy in the pursuit as I am. Have a wonderful day!
